Getting Started

What areas does Landgreen Lawncare service?

For lawn treatment services (fertilization, aeration, pest control), we cover Traverse City, Leelanau Peninsula, Old Mission Peninsula, Interlochen, Williamsburg, Elk Lake, Acme, Lake Ann, Elk Rapids, Suttons Bay, and Kalkaska.

For mowing and snow removal services, we focus more closely on Traverse City and immediate surrounding areas. Contact us to confirm service availability for your property.

How do I get a quote?

Call 231-357-9968 or submit a free estimate request. We can often provide pricing over the phone immediately—no waiting for a sales visit!

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes! All estimates are completely free with no obligation.

Pricing & Payment

How much does the lawn fertilization program cost?

The cost depends on the square footage of your lawn. Call 231-357-9968 for a free estimate. We can often provide pricing over the phone right away.

You may be surprised to find that hiring us is actually less expensive than treating your lawn yourself when you factor in product costs, equipment, and time!

Are there any discounts available?

Absolutely! If you prepay for the full program before the season begins, you'll receive a 10% discount.

We may also offer other seasonal promotions throughout the year—just ask when you call!

How do I pay for services?

We send an invoice shortly after each service via email or mail (your choice). You can pay by check, cash, or credit card.

Prepay customers receive their agreement in late winter/early spring and can pay at that time to lock in the discount.

Service Details

How will I know when service has been completed?

We always leave a flag at the end of your driveway and place a detailed door notification at your front entrance with information about the service completed, products used, and any recommendations.

When is the best time to aerate my lawn?

Late summer or early fall (August–September) is the ideal time. Grass isn't stressed by summer heat, and it's the perfect window for overseeding because seeds germinate quickly in fall temperatures.

How often should I aerate?

We recommend annual aeration if your lawn has frequent foot traffic (kids, pets, entertaining), clay-heavy soil, thin or patchy turf, or water pooling/drainage issues.

Safety & Credentials

Are your treatments safe for people and pets?

Yes. All fertilizers and pesticides are applied in strict accordance with Michigan law. Our applicators are licensed and certified by the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) and trained to apply products safely.

The products we use are very similar to what homeowners can purchase at garden centers, but applied with professional-grade equipment and expertise.

Is Landgreen Lawncare licensed and insured?

Yes! Landgreen Lawncare is:

  • Licensed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD)
  • Fully insured for your protection and peace of mind
  • In business since 1995 with a proven track record of safety and professionalism

Snow Removal

When do you start snow removal?

We begin service after 2 inches of snow accumulation. For large storms, we may start during the afternoon to stay ahead of heavy snowfall.

What time will my driveway be cleared?

Residential tractor snowblowing generally occurs between 3am and 9am. This ensures your driveway is clear before you leave for work.

For commercial plowing, service times are customizable based on your business needs.

When should I sign up for snow removal?

As early as possible! Our routes fill up quickly, and we cannot guarantee availability once the season begins. We recommend signing up in October or early November.
